District Information

The Sauk Village Community is rich in support and enthusiasm for our educational mission. The district itself is arranged in grade level attendance centers with prekindergarten through second graders attending Wagoner Elementary, third through fifth graders attending Strassburg Elementary, and sixth through eighth graders attending Rickover Junior High School. When students leave the school district after eighth grade they are served by Bloom Trail High School in District 206.

The community's enthusiasm is matched by a professional staff serving the educational and special service needs of our approximately 1700 culturally diverse students. The faculty has an average of fifteen years teaching experience and over 26% of our teachers have advanced degrees. At the elementary level we have a 20:1 teacher to student ratio.

Our curriculum is closely aligned with the Illinois State Standard and technology is integrated into the curriculum. Each building is wired and connected for Internet access with a computer lab per building and at least one computer in each classroom.
