Welcome New Strassburg Principal - Dr. Jennifer Camilleri

Meet the Principal

Strassburg Elementary School welcomes Dr. Jennifer Camilleri as principal, beginning in the 2017-2018 school year.   Dr. Camilleri is coming to Community Consolidated School District #168 with 15 years of experience in the field of education and during that time, has held the positions of 4th/5th grade teacher, assistant principal, dean of students, curriculum-technology coordinator, and principal.

Dr. Camilleri earned her Doctorate of School Leadership from National Lewis University.  She also holds a master’s degree in School Administration from Governors State University and a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Northern Illinois University.  Throughout her educational career, she has always been very dedicated to the community in which she works and believes in providing high quality learning opportunities for all students.  She has an extensive amount of experience in building a positive school climate and culture while focusing on social and emotional learning.

“Building strong relationships with all stakeholders is extremely important to me.  I believe that to enhance learning outcomes, productive home-school collaborations are essential.  Therefore, I would like to invite parents and students to the school for a Meet and Greet before the school year begins.  This will be a wonderful time for me to learn more about the community and students.  There will be two opportunities, which will occur on Tuesday, August 8th or Wednesday, August 9th from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Strassburg Elementary School.  In closing, I am eager to begin this school year and I look forward to working with the students, staff, and parents of Strassburg Elementary School. “
