Mr. Al Travaglini

Superintendent of Schools

SUPERINTENDENTS’S MESSAGE

Every Child, Every Day

As your new Superintendent, my focus is on each and every child in our district. I believe all children are willing and excited to learn and we have a responsibility to encourage that willingness.
As a district, we are not only responsible for teaching reading, writing, sciences and math skills; but also for guiding the social development of our students. Collaboratively, we must work with parents/guardians and communicate with each other through writing, phone, e-mails or texting. We are in an electronic age and communication is encouraged and expected.
Much attention is given to the fairly recent term Response to Intervention, the method used to catch a student’s learning deficiencies early, before it derails their education. When we meet with students, parents/guardians, and administrators, that is a form of Response to Intervention and it isn’t new to education—our term for it is Good Teaching and it’s been the goal since teaching began. The educational experts have simply given Good Teaching a newer name, Response to Intervention.
Together we can do it! I am proud to be the Superintendent of Community Consolidated Schools, District 168. I know together we can influence every student in our School District. I believe in Every Child, Everyday.
