On Thursday, February 21, 2008, Wagoner School sponsored its annual Family Math Night.  Families played a variety of math based games such as Math Riddles, Create 3D Patterns, and Match Geometric Shapes.  They even practiced opening a combination lock.  When a family successfully completed a game, they won “money”.  Families then went to the Redemption Center to buy prizes with earned money.  A  special thanks goes out to Mrs. Sharkey, Ms. Fanello, and Ms. Parsons for their hard work in preparing for this wonderful event.

  Bankers Visit Wagoner

Three employees from First United Bank visited the second grade classrooms on Monday, February 25, 2008.  They did a presentation on money.  They discussed needs and wants, and they encouraged the students to save money.  At the end of the presentation, students received First Savers Club coin cards.  If a student fills his/her five dollar coin card, the bank will match the five dollars for a total deposit of ten dollars.  A big thank you goes to Mrs. Sharkey for arranging this very informative presentation.
