Directed by our music teacher, Mrs. Michelin, Wagoner's 2nd graders presented "Proud to be American" in May.

After hours of preparation the show went off like a Fourth of July firecracker.3-frcracks02.gif

The Statue of Liberty sits in New York's harbor reminding us of one thing that built this wonderful country...diversity.

Statue of Liberty

      diversity

A symbol of freedom & justice for all.

Yankee Doodle

Two of the songs were "The Liberty Bell" and "Yankee Doodle".

  MLK

These great heroes, Washington, Lincoln and King, whose names stand for freedom, peace and equality deserve our thanks and praise.

3 great leaders

Our country has been called a melting pot

and one of the songs addressed that...

From every nation they sailed across the sea

To settle in this great land, the home of the free.

The program ended with

"From the east coast to the west,

If you travel state by state,

You'll find it's you an' I

That make our country great."

With the students we have here at Wagoner, the country is going to be great for years to come!
