Blossoms Early Childhood staff greeted our families new and returning with warm smiles and big hugs. We welcomed them back to school with two days full of fun activities! The first day was a scavenger hunt, in which the parents and their children had to find the playground, their cubbies, and the director, just to name a few. In addition, the children asked their teacher to take a selfie with them. Our community partner, Faith in Action gave away school supply boxes to the children. Once the families completed the scavenger hunt, we served them lunch. Quite a few parents reported that their favorite activity of the scavenger hunt was meeting their child’s teacher and/or their child taking a selfie with the teacher. The second day was the parent orientation, in which the parents met with the director and she reviewed the parent handbook. The children were in their classrooms getting acquainted with their classroom, their teachers, and classmates. During the month on August, the children have been learning the rules and routines of the classroom as well as meeting new friends. The children are really enjoying and excited about their learning environment.
