Mrs. Lisa Hopson joins Rickover Junior High School as the Assistant Principal for the 2018-19 school year. Mrs. Hopson, is a welcomed addition to the Rickover family. She served as an Instructional Leader/Coach for Blossoms in 2017-18. She brings with her 20 years of experience in the field of education. During that time, she has held the positions of classroom teacher, teacher leader, reading specialist, workshop and conference presenter, school improvement consultant and adjunct professor.
Mrs. Hopson is currently pursuing a doctorate degree in Education Administration; she has earned a master’s degree in Education Administration from Governors State University. She also holds a master’s degree in Reading from Chicago State University and a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Northern Illinois University. Mrs. Hopson has a passion for education and believes all children given a positive opportunity to learn, will learn! She values the involvement of all stakeholders and is a supporter for building strong relationships within the community.
