Dear Parents and Guardians,
At Rickover Junior High School, we are committed to creating a positive, safe, and productive learning environment for all students. As part of our Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program, students will have the opportunity to participate in monthly incentives, including field trips, for consistently meeting schoolwide behavioral and academic expectations.
To be eligible to participate in the monthly PBIS incentive/field trip, students must meet all of the following criteria during that month:
● Tardies: Students may not be tardy to more than three (3) classes during the month.
● Discipline: Students may not receive any disciplinary referrals during the month.
● Classroom & School Expectations: Teachers may add a student to the PBIS Non-Participation List when a student consistently disrupts the learning environment, fails to follow classroom or school expectations, or demonstrates behavior that negatively impacts the learning environment, even if those behaviors have not resulted in a formal disciplinary referral.
Our goal is not simply to reward students, but to encourage them to develop the habits that contribute to success in school. Students are expected to arrive to class on time, follow school and classroom expectations, make positive choices, and contribute to a safe and respectful learning environment.
Eligibility will reset each month, giving students a new opportunity to meet the expectations and participate in the next monthly incentive.
We encourage families to discuss these expectations with their students and help us reinforce the importance of responsibility, respect, and positive behavior.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support as we work together to help our students succeed.
Sincerely,
Rickover Junior High School Administration

Atentamente,
Administración de la escuela secundaria Rickover
