On August 8, 2023, D 168 welcomed its new administrators, teachers and staff with a two day orientation. During this event, our new staff has an opportunity to meet our superintendent Dr. Donna S. Leak, her administrative cabinet, and our school principals.
Programming consist of presentations from:
Director of Instructional Services
Director of Special Education
Explanation of 1st year teachers mentorship programs
Union Representatives
Business Office - Insurance and payroll,
Human Resources - Onboarding information and documentation
Technology - Work stations
Bus tour of our campus
And so much more

d168excels - Faith's Law Resources
Faith’s Law was passed by the 102nd General Assembly as two separate pieces of legislation. The first piece of legislation, Public Act 102-0676, took effect on Dec. 3, 2021. The second piece, PA 102-0702, will take effect on July 1, 2023. Both public acts created new requirements that take effect at different dates. --
ISBE has created the resources to assist school districts, charter schools, and nonpublic schools with implementing various requirements of Faith’s Law (visit CCSD 168 News Section for help links):

We fully believe that a bed is a basic need for the proper physical, emotional, and mental support that a child needs. Hosted by CCSD 168 Wellness Team
Friday, March 19, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Rickover Jr. High School Parking lot
Sertoma's Mobile Crisis Unit is a mental health clinic that will have youth service team members onsite in order to provide resources, and limited basic needs items such as food and clothing.
CCSD 168 Wellness Team will also be giving away additional resources and fun handouts!
